Being the hub of international trading, China is one of the most visited business destinations amongst international travelers. Besides offering lucrative deals in business, this beautiful country also offers numerous attractions for visitors. If you are also planning a trip to China then there are few things you must consider before leaving the country. While preparing for the trip you will need to pack several things in your baggage, which are must haves for your entire journey. Amidst all these necessary things, don’t forget to buy a China SIM Card with free roaming international services so that you can always stay in touch with your friends and colleagues back home.
There are several telecom companies operating from India that provide China SIM Cards to international travelers. Remember to cross check their services to the area you are visiting, before you finally buy them. If you do not buy the SIM card from a reliable and reputable company like Clay Telecom, you might not get good coverage. For illustrating the same I would like to share my personal experiences – I had to go to China for my company’s new project in Dongguang, Guangdong, one of the remote provinces of China. As I was running short of time, I asked one of my colleagues to collect a China SIM Card with free roaming international service. I didn’t mention a specific brand and my friend picked up a SIM for me from one of the nearest telecom outlets. Though I was not very satisfied with what he had got me, but I could not complain much as he had done me a favor. Finally, I was stuck with this SIM card that I was not very happy with.
I left my country with the same card.
As soon as I left from the Chinese Airport, I inserted the new SIM in my phone and switched it on. To my relief, it was working fine. I felt assured, and left for Dongguang, Guangdong, the next morning. But the moment I landed in the site area (where I was ultimately going to stay), I realized that my phone had no signal. Now here I was, stuck in a remote area of China, with no means for communication. Technically, I had a phone, but it was of no use. Every time I needed to make a call I had to come out to a local telephone booth or ask my landlord to let me use his phone. It was a very frustrating situation and I had no other way out. Finally, one of the local supervisors, lent me his alternate phone so that I could be contacted for emergency situations. I felt embarrassed and helpless but I had no other choice, but to accept his offer.
After going through such a troublesome situation, I decided that I would never travel beyond the borders of my country with a reliable China SIM Card from Clay Telecom.
